GCA PTFA

Parent Teacher and Friends Association

The Garden City Academy PTFA was formed in May 2010 and has gone from strength to strength ever since. It is run by a friendly and dedicated group of parent and family volunteers who work closely with the school to support our children.

Our main aim is to raise funds that enrich the educational experience of every child at Garden City Academy. All money raised by the PTFA is used to support learning enjoyment and memorable opportunities beyond the classroom.

How the PTFA Supports the School

Thanks to the generosity of families and the wider school community the PTFA helps to fund:

• Whole school enrichment activities including school trips and special experiences
• Financial contributions towards class trips
• Year 6 leavers hoodies
• Equipment and resources that enhance pupils learning and wellbeing

And much more!

Events We Run

Throughout the school year the PTFA organises a wide range of fun inclusive events for children and families including:

• Summer fayres
• Christmas fayres
• School discos
• Mothers Day teas and gift events
• Fathers Day events
• Non uniform days
• Competitions and small fundraising activities

We also support important school events such as Christmas dinners and Year 6 leavers celebrations.

Get Involved

None of this would be possible without the fantastic support of our Headteacher school staff parents carers and most importantly the children. Working together as a school community allows us not only to raise valuable funds but to have lots of fun along the way.

If you are interested in joining the PTFA volunteering at events or helping in any way we would love to hear from you.
