Inclusion and SEND

At Garden City Academy, we strive to do our very best in meeting the needs of all our pupils. We very much follow the ethos that every child has the right to the very best education they can have and to be well-nurtured and cared for, within our school. We ensure that all staff receive up-to-date training, are given the most recent information regarding SEND and that they are fully aware of special educational needs amongst our pupils. We regularly track and monitor all pupils progress and identify where limited progress is being made. Targeted intervention is put in place to enable pupils to access the curriculum and to fully reach their potential.

We believe that regular communication between home and school is vital in ensuring we can best support your child, in their learning. All parents are kept up to date with the SEND process in our school and we work alongside outside agencies to provide children with the help they need. We believe it is important to further develop children both academically and their behaviour, emotional and social skills to enable them to become happy, healthy and independent learners.

Feel free to contact one of the team if you have any questions.
